The Pop Larkins1991-1994In 1991, The Pop Larkins crashed onto the music scene and inevitably burned out circa 1994 amidst a hedonistic absence of sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll. With a cult following that rarely extended beyond family and friends, The Pop Larkins inflicted their music on audiences and were regulars on the Glasgow circuit where they were championed by the likes of 13th Note promoter Alex Kapranos (Franz Ferdinand). |

Six Storeys HighSix Storeys High met at Edinburgh’s Craigmount High School in 2006. Since making the finals of Xfm’s Winter Wonderland contest and winning the Edinburgh Schools Battle of the Bands, they have been bringing their robust, energetic and melodic rock sound to many of the capital’s most prestigious live stages, including GRV, Studio 24, and the city’s biggest rock venue, the HMV Picture House. |
Iain Petrie"Organic Celtic Soul"Iain Petrie has been refining his songwriting craft for many years. His music is truly eclectic and anachronistic, reflecting the timeless nature of all great music. Based around the infectious melodies of the talented singer/songwriter, the arrangements defy comparison to any one musical style, drawing inspiration from folk, soul, jazz, Americana and 60's pop. As described by Metro, "If John Martyn and James Taylor were in The Beatles, it might have sounded like this." With infectious melodies and colourful arrangements the songs are spiritual, romantic and uplifting. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, Iain plays almost everything on the album. To reproduce this sound live Iain has put together a talented band of soul brothers. |
