Souvenir Issue met at the Edinburgh College of Art where they regularly played with fellow art-pop rockers Jesus H. Foxx. The 3 design graduates achieved their airwave premiere last year with their delicate home recording of “Magnetic North”. The indie rock trio have produced another 3 minute pop thrill with “Iconoplatic”, which is sure to be an even bigger hit. Souvenir Issue have since decamped back to their native Glasgow to produce their latest offering, “Scelectric” EP. Their musical manifesto is influenced as much by Marcel Duchamp, Robert Prost and F.T. Marinelli as the The Great British Pound, while musically there are shades of The Editors meets The Wedding Present. |
